How Harbor Crest Financial Advice collects, uses, and retains personal data from website visitors and clients.
Data controller
Harbor Crest Financial Advice is the data controller for personal information collected via softwarearchitecture.digital and related advice engagements. Contact: hello@softwarearchitecture.digital, 3083 Ara Key, Lehnerwell, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, phone +44-6-234-5031.
Data we collect
- Contact details you submit (name, email, message, preferred call date, selected advice topic)
- Technical data such as IP address and browser type when essential for security and site operation
- Optional analytics data if you accept analytics cookies (see our cookie policy)
- Client file information gathered during a paid engagement (financial circumstances, documents you provide)
Purposes and lawful bases
We process enquiry data to respond to your request (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract). Client engagement data is processed to deliver regulated advice and meet record-keeping duties (contract and legal obligation). Marketing emails are sent only with consent where required.
Retention
Enquiry messages that do not become clients are typically retained for up to 24 months. Advice files are retained for periods required by financial services record-keeping rules—often at least five years after the end of the client relationship, and longer where pension transfer or complaint risk warrants. Analytics data, if collected, is retained according to the provider settings described in the cookie policy.
Sharing
We share data with IT and email providers who process it on our instructions, with product providers when you ask us to implement recommendations, and with professional introducers (for example solicitors) when you agree. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some processors may store data outside the United Kingdom. Where that occurs we rely on adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to certain processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise rights, email hello@softwarearchitecture.digital. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transmission where appropriate, and staff procedures to protect client files. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; please avoid sending full account numbers or passwords by unsolicited email.
