Inheritance questions often arrive after a parent dies or when a house sale frees capital. We help families understand how pensions, ISAs, and taxable assets interact with available allowances, and where lifetime gifts may or may not help.
Working with your solicitor
We do not draft legal documents. Where wills, trusts, or lasting powers of attorney are required, we prepare financial notes your solicitor can use and attend joint meetings when useful.
Delivery
Engagements are usually two or three meetings over four to eight weeks, priced as a fixed fee once we know how many family members and asset types are involved.
- Family meeting to map assets, gifts already made, and intentions
- Notes on allowances and pension death benefits in plain language
- Introduction to a solicitor for wills or trusts where needed
- Drafting of wills, lasting powers of attorney, or trust deeds
- Probate administration
